Professional Santa Training for the Modern Christmas Entertainer
North Pole Academy was created to help Santas become more confident, more professional and better prepared for the real-world experiences that come with portraying one of the most beloved figures of Christmas.
Our training brings together character development, performance, professionalism, guest experience and the business of being Santa.
This isn't about memorizing a few lines or simply learning how to wear the suit.
It's about learning how to become Santa and create Christmas magic intentionally.
The 2026 Founding Year
North Pole Academy's inaugural curriculum includes six core training modules, seasonal masterclasses, downloadable resources and ongoing professional development.
The Founding Year Begins September 21, 2026 at 6:00pm MST.
New core training modules will be released weekly throughout the fall, giving members time to learn, practice and apply what they're learning before the busiest part of the Christmas season.

Before you can convince a child you're Santa, you have to understand who your Santa is.
This module focuses on developing your character from the inside out.

This module explores how to create genuine connections and memorable interactions that feel natural rather than rehearsed.

Learn how to respond with kindness while respecting each child’s comfort, communication needs and boundaries.

A successful Santa photography session balances the needs of the photographer with the comfort of each child and family.
Learn the basics of creating natural moments while keeping sessions organized and maintaining the magic.

• Working with photographers and assistants
• Basic posing and positioning
• Working with babies and family groups
• Helping nervous children feel comfortable without pressure
• Encouraging natural smiles and reactions
• Keeping sessions moving

Become a Santa photographers enjoy working with and families feel comfortable meeting. -

From a family living room to a busy community celebration, preparation helps Santa create a memorable experience and respond calmly when plans change.
You’ll Learn:
• Confirming important details before a booking
• Planning your arrival, entrance and exit
• Organizing gifts and Santa letters
• Following a simple visit structure
• Managing time and interacting with multiple children
• Preparing for pets, unexpected guests and interruptions
• Following event schedules and coordinating with the event team
• Working alongside Mrs. Claus, Elves and other performers
• Knowing whom to contact when something goes wrongThe Goal
Deliver an organized, welcoming and magical experience in homes and event settings. -

Move through peak season prepared, professional and ready to bring Christmas magic. -
The expanded curriculum will build on these essentials with more detailed lessons, demonstrations and practice scenarios.
Topics will include advanced child and family interactions, wardrobe and beard care, photography techniques, Christmas Eve visits, stage appearances, microphones, parades, large events, marketing, websites, referrals and growing your Santa business.
How North Pole Academy Works
North Pole Academy is designed to fit around your life and your Christmas season.
Training is delivered online, allowing you to learn from anywhere and work through your lessons at your own pace.
New core modules are released weekly throughout the fall, with additional training, resources and seasonal masterclasses added as the Academy continues to grow.
Your first-year membership includes 12 months of access to North Pole Academy, including your core curriculum and new training released during your active membership.
At the end of your first year, you can choose to continue your membership annually or monthly.
Continuing members receive ongoing access to North Pole Academy and the new training and resources added throughout their active membership.
Some seasonal masterclasses may also be delivered live, with recordings made available to active members who are unable to attend.
