Ultimate Santa is looking for talented, professional and reliable photographers to join our team for the 2026 Christmas season.
From intimate family Santa portraits in our Okotoks studio to large corporate Christmas celebrations throughout Calgary and surrounding communities, photography is an important part of the experiences we create.
We are currently recruiting for two different photography positions.
SEASONAL STUDIO PHOTOGRAPHERS
Okotoks | Seasonal | $25/hour
Our Santa Photography Studio welcomes approximately 1,000 families each Christmas season, with scheduled sessions throughout November and December.
We are looking for friendly, reliable photographers who are comfortable working with children and families in a fast-paced studio environment.
What We Provide
You don't need to own your own professional photography equipment for this position.
Ultimate Santa provides:
• Professional camera equipment
• Professional studio lighting
• Complete photography setup
• Established settings and workflow
• Training on our equipment and photography process
Our goal is consistency. Every family should receive the same high-quality Ultimate Santa photography experience regardless of which member of our photography team is behind the camera.
What We're Looking For
Our ideal studio photographers are:
• Comfortable photographing children and families
• Friendly, patient and engaging
• Comfortable using professional camera equipment
• Able to follow an established photography style and workflow
• Dependable and punctual
• Comfortable working in a busy Christmas environment
• Available for scheduled shifts throughout November and December
Previous photography experience is preferred.
Compensation: $25/hour
PROFESSIONAL CORPORATE & EVENT PHOTOGRAPHERS
Calgary & Surrounding Areas | Seasonal Contract | $250/hour
Ultimate Santa works with corporate clients, community organizations and private events throughout Calgary and surrounding communities.
We are looking for experienced professional photographers who can independently photograph these events while representing the Ultimate Santa brand.
Assignments may include posed Santa photography, corporate Christmas parties, community celebrations and candid event photography.
Equipment Requirements
Corporate and event photographers are responsible for providing their own professional equipment.
You must have:
• Professional camera body and appropriate lenses
• Professional studio lighting suitable for posed Santa portraits
• Bounce flash suitable for candid event photography
• Backup equipment appropriate for professional event work
Experience Requirements
Applicants should have previous professional photography experience and be confident working independently in changing event environments.
You should be comfortable:
• Photographing children and families
• Photographing large groups
• Creating consistent posed Santa portraits
• Capturing candid event photography
• Working in challenging or changing lighting conditions
• Interacting professionally with corporate clients and guests
• Managing your photography setup independently
• Representing Ultimate Santa professionally while on location
Reliable transportation is required as events take place throughout Calgary and surrounding communities.
Compensation: $250/hour

Ultimate Santa is a professional seasonal Christmas entertainment company serving Calgary, Okotoks and surrounding communities.
Our photographers work alongside our professional Santas, Mrs. Claus entertainers, Elves, Grinch impersonators and event team to create memorable Christmas experiences for our clients.
